Jumping Ships

Jumping Ships The global misadventures of a cargo ship apprentice David Baboulene

Jumping Ships

Book two in David's humorous travel series.

‘Packed with enough shipboard hilarity to make the reader literally weep with laughter, Ocean Boulevard and Jumping Ships are probably the funniest maritime-themed books in print today.' Ships Monthly `
...laughs aplenty, but also top-notch writing about the seas, ships and those who sail on them.` Sea Breezes Magazine.

The second adventure for Windy and NotNorman finds our heroes on safari in Kenya; dressing up in a nurses’ home in South Africa; taking on the pirates of Nigeria; finding WonderWoman and the best non-existent restaurant in Greece; playing unorthodox forms of chess and snooker in Southern India; drained and amazed in Thailand and, of course, falling victim to all the unspeakable practical jokes his fellow sailors perpetrate on board the cargo ship Global Princess during the sea passages in between. That’s to say nothing of Windy’s days at nautical college in the snowy northeast of England, his poaching trip to the Lake District, and a heli-skiing trip in Canada that will curl your hair.

David Baboulene

Author and Principle of DreamEngine Story World

David Baboulene is a published author, filmmaker, story consultant, and Ph.D. academic of story theory. His research has provably shifted the cutting edge of narrative theory from a focus on structuralism to an approach based on evolutionary psychology – factors such as knowledge gaps and subtext – that cause stories to exist and to have such power to grip and intrigue us.

David is one of the first highly qualified story consultants to also have published works of fiction and film deals for his own stories. (See the full list of published works here.)

He has also studied stories back to pre-biblical and Greek times, classical literature as well as talking to big names in contemporary story-telling,.

In a world where history is sacrificed on the altar of political correctness, Tina questions the need to change those stories, but rather learn from them. Find David on the internet on him website, on Facebook ,Twitter.and YouTube. You can contact David through The DreamEngine here
